Opener in Two Rivers




Peshtigo Bulldogs Football Head Coach Eric Seyler's return to Two Rivers might not have gone as planned, but the fourth-year head coach is still confident in his team's chances at winning the Packerland Conference.

Seyler spent six years teaching at Two Rivers, including one season as assistant offensive coordinator. His first trip back as head coach of Peshtigo ended with a 25-14 loss to the Raiders.

M&M Game Advance Ticket Sales Aug. 23 & 24

Menominee and Marinette's tickets for the 2017 M & M Football Game will go on sale starting Wednesday, Aug. 23. Tickets will be available Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am until 3 pm in the Athletic Office in Menominee and High School Office in Marinette.

No conference or other passes will be accepted.

For the M&M game, there will be a limited number of reserved seats, and the remaining will be general admission. All tickets are $5.

Marine Golfers Finish 5th at Home Invite

Improved play by the Marinette girls golf team lead to their best finish in the young 2017 season. The Marines shot an 18 hole score of 430 to finish 5th out of 13 teams. Bay Port won the event with a 385 eight strokes better than runner up Waupaca.

"I was really happy with 430 today, finishing 5th. We got some more personal best rounds and steady play. The course was set up difficult, the greens were very fast and with the distraction of the eclipse, it made for a little bit more interesting day," said Marinette head coach Charlie...

The Niagara Badger volleyball squad took a four set win over the visiting Bark River Harris Broncos. Niagara dropped the first set 25-14 but came back strong with 25-14, 25-18 and 25-15 wins.

Jasmine Racine served up 8 aces while talling seven kills and four digs. Allison Wells had seven kills while registering nine digs and one ace. Abigail McCarthy did her part with 12 assists, three digs, one block and six aces.
