Funeral services were held at Grace Lutheran Church, Oconto Falls on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m., for Jerry Lane Vorpahl, 54, of Oconto Falls.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes, Clinton, Iowa was in charge of arrangements with Raymond B. Ackerman, jr. Funeral Director. He died Saturday, Jan. 7 at his home.
Born Nov. 21, 1957 in Oconto Falls to Leslie and Agnes (Brazeau) Vorpahl, he was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School and the Broadcast Institute and Art Institute of Baltimore.
Early in life he worked as a D.J., then was a drummer in a Elvis Tribute Band traveling throughout the country. He married Michelle Boyer April 25, 1981 and the couple settled in Milwaukee, where he worked as a graphic artist.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Paul and Daniel Vorpahl of Milwaukee; siblings, Theresa Runge of De Pere, Phyllis (William) Uelmen of Cecil, Butch (Shirley) Vorpahl and Debbi Lolley, both of Oconto Falls and Daryl Vorpahl of Jacksonville, Fla.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Larry.
