Suring Jan. 18 Lumberjack Breakfast for Centennial

The Village of Suring will celebrate its centennial in 2015. The Suring Area Historical Society will present the first of many events with a Lumberjack Breakfast at Red Maple Golf Course on Sunday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. 1 p.m. Tickets are available until Jan. 11 at Suring Dollar Value, Suring Auto and Hardware, Wichmans BP, Red Maple Golf Course, and Suring Library. Ticket prices are $12 ages 11 and up, $10 ages 6 to 10, and 5 and under are free.
The breakfast will be similar to the menu of the old lumberjack days. There will be memorabilia and trivia questions, a meat wheel from 10 a.m. to noon, and bucket raffles throughout the breakfast. Many original lumberjack items which are on loan from the Menomonee Historic Preservation Logging Museum will be displayed. There will also be a best lumberjack era costume contest.
