Strengthening Families Program in Oconto Co.

Parents and caregivers and 10-14 year old youth are invited to take part in an interactive family program where parents learn to build on their strengths in showing love and setting limits, and youth develop skills in handling peer pressure and building a positive future, and families grow together. The 7 week class will be held Mondays from 5:30 - 8 pm on Feb. 2 and 16, March 2, 9, 23, 30, and April 6 at the Washington Middle School in Oconto Falls. Registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 26.
Included are free family supper each week and free childcare for younger siblings.
At 6 p.m. parents/caregivers and youth meet with their facilitators and from 7-8 parents and youth meet together as a family. Each session contains a variety of activities including parent-youth discussions, games, projects, skill-building practice and game-like learning activities.
