THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
From our readers
Six months ago, Dave Polashek announced he was running for state senate. While I will not support him, I respect his decision and understand his desire to represent his community. He served a long time in the Oconto Falls School District.
It seems strange that another Democrat has jumped in the race at the 11th hour to run against him. His opponent did not even live in the district until this year. It appears Dave is getting the same treatment by the Madison power brokers as Bernie Sanders is by national Democrats.
Dave seemed to be gaining support of the local Democrats, but apparently the establishment down in Madison knows better. It begs the question, if Dave's opponent would win, where would his loyalties lie? With the people of the 12th Senate District, or the Madison special interests working tirelessly to get him elected?
At least Dave can call this area his home.
I hope Dave Polashek isn't pushed out by the Madison muscle and continues to give the voters of the 12th senate district a choice.
