U.P.'s Biggest Outdoors Expo, Trapping Show

Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts are expected to attend the 54th U.P. Trappers Convention/Outdoor Expo July 15-16 at the U.P State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. Open to the public, admission is $5 for both days with kids 16 and younger admitted free. Hours of operation are 8 A.M. to 6 P.M on Friday, and Saturday's hours are 8 A.M. to 3 PM. All times are eastern daylight.
An all-star lineup of outdoor experts will present demos throughout the two days. Included are Les Johnson popular, award winning TV Show "Predator Quest" as a World Champion Coyote Caller. Expert coyote trapper Steve Gappa of Coyotes "R" Us, is famous in the coyote trapping world.
Also are Harry Nestell and Lesel Reuwsaat known for their episodes on F&T's Freedom Outdoor TV Show. John Chagnon is well-known for his trapping skills, showing how to trap beaver and otter. Rich Clark and Greg Schroeder know exactly how they want fur put up to get best prices.
Vendors will be on hand along with mini raffles, games, free fishing for the kids, and a reasonably priced dinner and a dance on Friday evening. There is camping on the grounds and food and refreshments will also be available.
