Editor:

On behalf of Bands at Badger Committee of Peshtigo Woman Club, we would like to thank the sponsors, bands, and the many people who attended the  concerts for the summer of 2016.

Your support is greatly appreciated.  See everyone again in 2017.

Letter to the Editor:

Re: WHY I AM NOT VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON-

This Presidential election is unprecedented because we all have an opportunity to vote for someone who is not a career politician; who is not beholden to lobbyists or special interest groups; who uses a common sense approach versus political correctness to solve this nation's problems.  We have the opportunity to change the course of history forever because Donald J. Trump will hold our government accountable to the Constitution; he will protect us and protect our borders in order to make America great again. This is not only refreshing, it has never happened in my lifetime and will most likely never happen again!

Many Americans choose not to vote at all because they have witnessed the fact that there really isn't much difference in the parties because we wait for change, we wait for reform; we expect accountability, honesty, transparency from our leaders and nothing ever happens because our voices and our opinions mean nothing to them.

Instead of being stuck with a choice of career politicians, we can elect someone who will be the voice of America and represents the party that conserves the ideals of our nation's founding. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for the law and order candidate who puts Americans first and would put an end to illegal aliens who now have more rights than we do!

A vote for Hillary Clinton means you support the establishment oligarchy who sent America's jobs overseas; who flooded the country with difficult-to-assimilate immigrants who receive more benefits than we do on social security; who allowed Clinton to abdicate her responsibility as Secretary of State to protect our embassy in Benghazi; who uses the IRS to attack Conservative and Christian charities; who destroyed public education; who bailed out Wall Street and the "banks too big to fail;" who depletes our military resources, ignores our veterans and expects them to pay for their own health care; who forced ObamaCare on us resulting in a 34-62% increase in our insurance premiums using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions and forcing us to compromise our religious beliefs or pay a penalty.

The American dream continues to be crushed and replaced by higher taxes on the middle class, an over-spending, over-reaching giant welfare utopia they've created in Washington; a pattern that would continue under Hillary Clinton.

A vote for the Democratic Party means you sanction the actions of Hillary when she turned personal enrichment into an art form through the Clinton Foundation while serving as Secretary of State and provided access to the state department through donations to her foundation.

A vote for Hillary means that federal laws apply to you and I but federal immigration laws don't apply to the 795,000 illegal immigrants who are allowed to commit crimes and remain here in sanctuary cities while receiving government benefits funded by taxpayers.

It took 230 years for our national debt to reach $10 trillion.  It took the Obama Administration only 8 years to almost double our debt to $19 trillion. A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote to continue financing programs using taxpayer dollars that allows the federal government to spend $7 million a minute on its socialist agenda.

A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for a continuation of failed foreign policies, government corruption, secrecy, lies, and the emasculation of  our country as we know it.  A vote for Mr. Trump is a vote against the elite establishment made up of career politicians which is why they are so afraid of him and are doing their best to discredit him in the media.

A vote for Hillary means she is above the law and you support the fact that there is a double standard when it comes to enforcing the U.S. statutory laws of our country. If you or I had perjured ourselves before the FBI and the Department of Justice and put our nation's security at risk, we would have been indicted for treason, obstruction of justice, and taken away in chains. If Obama's Department of Justice won't hold Hillary accountable for her mismanagement of classified information or mass of scandals, then the American people must!

As an Election Inspector, I have witnessed a significant increase in the number of new voter registrations because Mr. Trump is waking up Americans and stimulating new hope in making our country great again by someone who is not a ventriloquist puppet for special interest groups.

At a time when this nation is moving in the wrong direction and whose future hangs on a delicate thread, it's no wonder people are looking for a fresh start with someone who is not a career politician, who is an ordinary citizen just like you and I, and demonstrates innovative thinking and proven leadership.

Seventeen Medal of Honor recipients who have distinguished themselves "conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity" in combat with an enemy of the United States have whole-heartedly endorsed Donald Trump.  Sadly, it appears Hillary Clinton publicly included these recipients who were awarded America's highest military honor into a "basket of deplorables".

These real Americans and those who love this country are counting on you to take our country back and make it great again by casting your vote for Donald Trump on November 8th!

Respectfully submitted,

Joan R. Pansier, E.J.D.

I have known the family of Mike Gallagher for many years. They are hardworking, educated, professional people.

Mike Gallagher, like his family, exemplifies why he is best suited to represent us in Congress. From serving in the Marines and the intelligence community, to working in the private sector for a small business, Mike has gained the first-hand knowledge and experience to keep us safe and restore our economy. Don't give in to the mud slinging by Nelson. Instead, look at Gallagher's background and his dedication to serve the people.

Factcheck.org rated Nelson's attack ad on Mike Gallagher, which claims that Gallagher supports tying Social Security benefits to the poverty line, as completely false. Now, PolitiFact has weighed in on Nelson's latest false attack ad against Gallagher by saying, "Gallagher has NOT made a proposal on Social Security that would cut the benefits of two-thirds of the recipients."

These false claims by Nelson are just proving that he is another career politician that will say anything to try to get elected.

Just a note to clarify the head line on the Quilts on the Farm news in last week's PT. It should have read "quilted items". Most people who are not familiar with today's quilters read quilts and expect to come to the Quilts on the Farm sale and see only bed size quilts. In reality, there are bed size quilts, but also baby quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, table toppers, table runners, place mats, microwavable bowls, purses, mug rugs and more.

Thank you for your time,

Mary Ann DalSanto
