Bucs and Lady Bucs Walk
Roadrunners to the Plank
Saturday afternoon UW-Marinette took on the WCC West division leader UW-Richland. The speed and quickness of the Roadrunners was no match for the Bucs as Marinette secured a much-needed win, 82-77.
Max Muelver paced the Bucs with 17 points with Everett Laye close behind at 16 points. Bryce Thompson pitched in with 14 points, Matt Newman added 12 and James Casey finished with 10. Newman led the way in rebounding with 11 boards while Laye pitched in with nine.
UW-Marinette will be back in action Saturday against UW-Fond du Lac which is tentatively scheduled for 3 P.M.
The Lady Bucs continue to roll throughout the Wisconsin Collegiate College schedule. Saturday, they welcomed UW-Richland Center to the Max E. Peterson field house. With key contributions from everyone, including all starters in double-digits for points, Marinette won easily 76-39.
Laura Raatz and Tori Wangerin led the way for the Lady Bucs with 15 points each with Wangerin adding eight rebounds. Sarah Pettit and Amanda Simmons each recorded 12 points as Pettit hauled in nine rebounds and Simmons pulled down eight. Christina Jagiello also pitched in with 11 points and led the team with 10 rebounds.
UW-Marinette will play again at home Saturday against December 10th when they take on UW-Fond du Lac (5-1), tip-off is set for 1 P.M.
