Plans for Wausaukee School Foundation
Wausaukee--The Wausaukee "Excellence in Education" Foundation will consider students' requests for funds for activity expenses related to the Foundation mission. Details and forms will be available around Feb. 1. The Foundation mission supports student participation in activities in Arts (Fine Arts, Language Arts including World Languages), Gifted and Talented areas, and Math, Science and Technology.
The Wausaukee Foundation, established by a group of community members and teachers, benefits the Wausaukee School District and the greater M&M Area Community Foundation. Contributions to the Wausaukee Foundation support the growth of the Foundation in order to generate a percentage award to special projects as part of its Foundation mission. In addition, fund earnings are used in part to support the annual Arts in the School Day held each spring. This school year, the Foundation will also support the Opera for the Young presentation this spring in the elementary school.
With tax season drawing near now may be a good time to consider a donation to the Foundation. If interested in being part of the legacy, any amount is appreciated. Gift cards can also be provided upon request for anyone wishing to donate on behalf of someone else. All donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Checks should be made out to Wausaukee "Excellence in Education" Foundation with M&M Foundation written in the memo line.
