Gillett/Suring defeated Oconto on their home wrestling mat by a score of 51-24 on Thursday, Dec. 22 due to four pins, a decision victory, and four forfeits.
Oconto started the match 6-0 when Oconto's Tyler Wusterbarth pinned Gillett/Suring's Brock Herzog at 145, but they would lose the next three to go behind for good.
Gillett/Suring's Deven Boyd (152) pinned Nathan Kollman, Brice Winkler (160) won a 10-6 decision over Peyton Boucher, and Trevor Kohls pinned Kolin Farrar in the 170-pound class to take a 15-6 lead.
Blue Devil Jeff Humblet (182) would get six back with a pin of Austin Perkins, Mason Camps (285) took a win by forfeit and Aiden Wusterbarth (138) pinned Sam Davis for Oconto's other two victories, giving them 24 points on the day.
Gillett/Suring got pin victories from Dante Carlson (220), who pinned Lucas Ruechel and Preston Fisher (132), who took down Austin Ratajczyk with a pin. They also gained points via forfeit from Ben Burt (195), Wyatt Herzog (106), Nate Davis (120) and Sam Lemens (126).
The 113-pound weight class was a double forfeit on the day

Menominee Indian's wrestling team defeated Florence/Niagara by the score of 54-15 Thursday, Dec. 22.
Menominee Indian won the first six matchups of the day, and never looked back. Pinning opponents for the team were Antonio Mahkimetas (160), Elliot Miller (170), Darius Wayka (182), Leander Moon (195), Kyle Komanekin (220) and Alenex Warrington (285).
Darius Hawkins (106), Joe Perez (113) and Roy Cervantes (132) all won by forfeit to add onto Menominee Indian's large lead.
Florence/Niagara got wins from Tristen Mascarette (120), who pinned Alfred Hernandez, Josh Broullire (126), who won a 9-5 decision over Morgun Fish, and Shamus McLain, who took a forfeit at 145.
The 138-pound and 152-pound weight classes each ended in double forfeits.
Crivitz Falls to Bonduel
in Non Conference Duel
With the help of five forfeits, Bonduel defeated Crivitz in a non-conference wrestling matchup Thursday, Dec. 22 by a score of 54-18.
Crivitz got three wins on the day, one of which came via forfeit. Anthony Jopek (138) pinned his opponent, as did Joseph Tomaszewski at 220. Michael Retza took six points by forfeit at 145.
Getting pins for Bonduel were Adrien Keiler (195), Jordan Boldt (132), Moises Lagunes (152) and Tristan Tomashek (160). Winning by forfeit were Josh Cruz (170), Jacob Banker (182), Seth Matz (285), Michael Smith (106) and Darren Tippett (113).
