Curtis "Curt" P. Lentz, 57, of Peshtigo, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 26 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Born Feb. 10, 1959 in Marinette, to the late Oscar and Patricia (Benton) Lentz, he worked on a dairy farm until age 18. He and his father operated Klondike Kozy Korner Tavern until going on his own to operate Curt's Cozy Inn at White Potato Lake for many years.
In 2003 he opened Cortezz Place in Peshtigo which he operated until his death. A member of The Tavern League of Wisconsin, he was 6th District Director for over 20 years. He sponsored many men's and women's softball, bowling and pool leagues through the years.
He enjoyed pool, playing lottery scratch offs and online lotteries and the casino, especially card games and slot machines.
He is survived by four siblings, Darrell Lentz, Barbara Hohnholz, Oscar G. "Butch" Lentz and Steven Lentz and many other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Coleman on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service at noon. Pastor Nick Johannes will officiate with burial in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toys for Tots.
