Lillian M. Belongia
Lillian May Belongia, 81, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Bishops Court.
Born Nov. 4, 1935 in Oconto, to the late Peter and Eva (DeMeyer) Lalonde, she married Edmund Belongia on Feb. 14, 1959 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1996.
She worked as a kitchen aide at Bellin Hospital for 15 years, at Bond Pickle and Larson Canning Company. She enjoyed listening to old country western music, shopping, sewing, old movies, gardening, reading, game shows, bird watching and bingo.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna (fiancé, Rod Rommel) Miller, Green Bay; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; former son-in-law, Frank Miller; friends, Margaret Miller and family, Susie Miller, Doris Rommel and family, Ruth Adriansen, Lucille Britten, Michael Cain, Jill Elliott and family, Roger DeLaruelle and Brian LeMay and family.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Agnes MaCarthey, Marie Barrera, Rosalie Alfaro and Edna Kriescher and three brothers, Russell, Lester and Wilbur Lalonde.
The family received relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Monday, Feb. 6 from 5 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 7 p.m., with Deacon John Vincent officiating. Gallagher Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
