Blanche B. Bolen
Blanche Bernice (Williams) Bolen, 87, of Daggett, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born June 2, 1929 in Cedar River, Mi., to the late Phillip and Pearl Williams, she married John Bolen in December of 1947 in Menominee.
She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren, camping, dancing, cards, listening to baseball games on the radio, the outdoors and watching her grandchildren's sporting events, but mostly time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, John and a son, John "Jack" (Carol) Bolen, both of Stephenson, Mi.; a daughter, Barb LaCombe of Fairbanks, Ak.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Boye, Ann (John) Crawford, Phyllis Hultman and Floyd (Isabel) Williams and a sister-in-law, Betty Williams.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth (Ed) Paige; four brothers, Wesley, Harold, Myron "Chuck" and Edward "Buzzy" Williams and a son-in-law, Gary LaCombe.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson from 10:30 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at noon with Pastor Archie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar River Cemetery in Spring.
