THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Andre M. Christenson
Andre Marc Christenson, 56, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4.
Born in 1960 in Marinette in 1960, to the late Arthur Christenson and Berniece (Buege) Christenson, he lived with his parents until their deaths.
The family moved from Porterfield to Trenton, Mi. in 1968, where he attended grade school and then moved to Walkersville, Md. in 1975 where he graduated from high school. He worked at the Goodwill Company in Maryland. They returned to Porterfield in 1985 and he worked at Goodwill in Marinette until moving to the Friendship Village in Ottawa, Ill., where he worked in a belt assembly area of the workshop.
The most important things in life were his family, friends, farm and faith. He loved working with his dad at his office and on the farm. He believed in doing his best and often said, "All you can do is try". He lived life to the fullest, filled with love for all, said hello to everyone and brought a smile with him wherever he went, bringing humor and goodness to all. He had a pure soul with nothing but kindness in his heart and will be missed by his family, but what he gave will remain with us forever.
He is survived by a sister, Beth Carlson, brother-in-law, Herb Carlson; a sister, Jan Guyette, brother-in-law John Guyette; four nephews, Jason (Sara) Carlson, Josh (April) Carlson, Chad Guyette and Nick (Brittany) Guyette; four grandnieces and three grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at Porterfield Lutheran Church on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon at the church.
