Bernard "Mickey" L. Jashinsky, 60, of Katy, Tx., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1 after losing his battle with cancer. He arranged for his body to be donated to MedCure for medical research.
Born Jan. 5, 1957, to Walter and Ruby (Tousey) Jashinsky, he grew up in Coleman and attended Coleman High School and UW Stevens Point.
He moved to Texas and married Marlene Albers. He worked as a residential and commercial interior contractor.
He enjoyed fishing with his daughter, Maggie and spending time with his Z Krewe family where he served on their Royal Court for a few years and was to be on it again later this month.
He is survived by a daughter, Maggie Jashinsky of Austin, Tx.; a sister, Judy Jashinsky of Chicago, Ill, two brothers, Jeff Jashinsky of Porterfield and David Jashinsky of Coleman; three nieces, Stacy, Jamie and Shannon and a nephew, Walter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruby Jashinsky.
A Memorial will be held at a future date to be determined.
