Shirley A. Konop
Shirley Ann (Bader) Konop, 73, of Gillett, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Shawano after a declining health.
Born Jan. 13, 1944 in Coleman, to the late Elmer and Angeline (Salewski) Bader, she attended local schools and graduated from Coleman High School.
She married Roger A. Konop on May 11, 1963 and they raised four children. She worked for many years at Architectural Fiberglass, later Krueger International until retiring in 2009.
An active member of St. John's Catholic Church in Gillett, she enjoyed gardening and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; four children, Lisa (Bob) Johnson of Greenleaf, Jeff (Jackie) Konop of Woodbury, Mn., Deb (Jeff) Edler of Maribel and Jodi (Josh) Tousey of Green Valley; six grandchildren; siblings, Janice (the late Roy) Jashinsky, Mary Jane (Mark) Kosmal, Gary Bader, Nancy (Jack) Sjoberg, Jim (Jill) Bader and Diane (Chopper Lambert) Bader and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Bader.
Memorial Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gillett on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Rev. David J. Funk, OFM CAP will officiate with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Wisconsin. Legacy Funeral Chapels of Gillett is assisting the family with arrangements.
