Thomas A. Rost
Thomas A. Rost, 71, of Green Bay, formerly of Oconto Falls, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 28, 1945, to the late George and Irene (Hellman) Rost, he graduated from Oconto Falls High School and served in the United States Marines in the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and time spent on his land in Oconto County, but mostly being with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Cassie Yaeger and Leslie (Al Bailey) Rost; two step-sons, Scott (Dena) Klaus and Chad (Danielle) Klaus; five grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Larry) Brick and Pat (John) Yirsa and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends called at Lyndahl Funeral Home in Green Bay on Friday, Feb. 10 from 4 p.m. until time of a Parish Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Benedict Catholic Parish Church in Suamico on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Gerald Prusakowski, OFM officiating . A memorial fund has been established in his name.
