Raymond "Ray" Younger, 59, of Lena, passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 7 as the result of a tractor accident at home.
Born May 25, 1957 in Oconto Falls, the second oldest of eight children, to William and Shirley (Young) Younger, he grew up in Stiles and graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1975.
He married Wanda Konkel on Aug. 27, 1994 in Stiles. He was a self-employed area carpenter for most of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and building things, but mostly time with his four sons.
Survivors are his wife, Wanda Younger, Lena; four sons, Derek, Matthew and twins, Nathan and Tyler, all at home; his mother, Shirley Younger, Stiles; his mother-in-law, Eileen Konkel, Oconto; his father-in-law, John (Barb) Konkel, Stiles; four brothers, Dave, Joe and Paul Younger, all of Stiles and Pat (Jamie) Younger, Oconto; three sisters, Theresa Morrow, Stiles, Mary Younger, Green Bay and Carol Younger, Oconto Falls; two brothers-in-law, Ted (Renee) DuPrey, Green Bay; John (Julie) Konkel, Oconto; a sister-in-law, Vicki Konkel, Oconto; many nieces; nephews; aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1988 and a brother-in-law, Mike Morrow.
Visitation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls on Friday, Feb. 10 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiated, assisted by Deacon Peter Gard. Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
