Leslie Madsen, 94, of Ingalls, Mi., passed away Thursday, Feb. 23 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Menominee, Mi.
Born March 30, 1922 in Menominee, to the late Eric and Bertha (Olsen) Madsen, he joined the United States Army on Sept. 10 1942 and was honorably discharged on Dec. 20, 1945. On Aug. 12, 1961, he married Louise Crossman in Menominee and worked at Lloyd Flanders for 38 years, retiring in April of 1984.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping with family and taking trips across the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Louise of Ingalls, Mi.; three sons, Leslie (Donna) and William, both of Menominee and Mark (Amy) of Hancock, Mi.; two daughters, Cindy (Brian) Wille of Marinette and Linda (Mike) Majkrzak of Menominee; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Monday, Feb. 27 from 4 p.m. until time of Military Honors at 6 p.m., followed by the funeral service with Pastor Jim Mathews officiating. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in Spring.
