Carol J. (Mueller) Schwartz, 86, passed away Friday, Feb. 24.
Born June 7, 1930, to Walter and Inga (Larsen) Mueller, she graduated from Wausaukee High School in 1949 and married Robert Schwartz on June 17, 1950 at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister.
A member of the Porterfield Lutheran Church for 68 years, she enjoyed quilting with the women's group at church. A devoted person, her family was important to her, with her favorite thing to do was playing cards and games with friends and family. She was a good baker with her desserts being appreciated by everyone lucky enough to taste them. She worked in the bakery at Schloegel's Restaurant for many years.
She is survived by four sons, Steven (Marilyn), Clay, Scott and Clark (Kim); three daughters, Cynthia (William) Harrison, Cheryl and Tina; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild; three step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Mary) Mueller; two sisters, Marge Wagner and Jean (William) Sedlar; nieces; nephews and many friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2013; two brothers, Lloyd (Sylvia) Mueller and Clayton Mueller; a brother-in-law, Richard Wagner; three nephews; a niece; and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Alex Timm.
Friends may call at Porterfield Lutheran Church on Friday, March 3 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Pastor Christina Forsythe will officiate with burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
