Jim A. Nesberg, 62, of Peshtigo, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born Oct. 8, 1954, to the late John A. and Marilu (Amore) Nesberg, he graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1973 and married the former Lou Goltz on Oct. 29, 1977 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo. He worked for Marinette County for 29 years.
He coached Peshtigo Middle School boys and girls basketball for many years, supported all Peshtigo Bulldogs sports and was involved in many youth athletic activities. He enjoyed hunting, but mostly time with his grandchildren, loving every minute he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife, Lou; a son, Ryan Nesberg; two daughters, Leslie (Jim's special buddy, Eric) Johnson and Katie Nesberg; seven grandchildren; two brothers, David (Linda) Nesberg of Rochester, Mn. and Dan (Carla) Nesberg of Porterfield; four sisters, Lynn (Tom) Olson and Julie (Steele) Faust, both of Rochester, Mn., Sally (the late Chuck) Falkenberg of Peshtigo and Chris (Pete) Lammers of Suamico.
Family will receive relatives and friends at at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo for a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Services at 1 p.m., with Fr. John Harper officiating. In his memory, please dress in your favorite Bulldog, Brewer, Badgers or Packer clothes, but Lou say's none of that Aaron Rodger's stuff.
