Romayne N. Brundage
Romayne N. (Wanner) Brundage, 88, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, March 1.
Born Jan. 27, 1929 on the family farm in the Town of Riverview., to the late Phillip and Alice (McDonnald) Wanner, she graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis in 1946.
She married George F. Staffin on April 19, 1947 in Mountain and he preceded her in death in April of 1990. She later married David L. Brundage on Aug. 16, 1991and he also preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2016. She was Treasurer and Chairman for the Town Riverview and was the first female County Supervisor in Oconto County. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, was an avid seamstress and a loving mother that loved time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by five children, George (Judy) Staffin, Douglas (Robin) Staffin, Kathleen (Steve) Bauer, Mark (Dawn) Staffin and Craig (Laura) Staffin; three step-children, Bonnie (Tom) Jones, David (Joann) Brundage and Margaret Breed; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Judy) Wanner and Robert (Sandy) Wanner; two sisters-in-law, Harriet Wanner and Lucille Wanner and a brother-in-law, Rusty Gronmark.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, George Staffin and David Brundage; six siblings, Phillip Wanner, Roger Wanner, Margaret Koch, Mabel Wanner, Phyllis Hatfield and Bernadine Gronmark; a granddaughter, Christine Staffin; a foster-son, Damon Klumb and a step-daughter, Tina Jones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13 at Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain Cemetery in Spring. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring is assisting the family with arrangements.
