Evelyn Rae (Peterson) Schreiner, 97, passed away Saturday, March 11.
Born Sept. 9, 1919 in Menominee, Mi. to the late Carl and Ella (Fleury) Peterson, she married Frank Schreiner on June 17, 1939 in Menominee and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1978.
She was the bookkeeper at their business, Marinette Plumbing and Heating which they owned until his death. She then worked at Swears Fish House in Menominee, retiring at age 76.
She enjoyed hosting family gatherings at her "country house in the city" as she called it. Her door was always open with coffee on the stove and food on the table for anyone that came. She will be remembered for her servant heart, wit, and spunky attitude. She touched many lives and will be missed.
She is survived by a sister, Norma Pecor; a brother, Gary Peterson; a daughter, Karen (Gary) Peterson; a daughter-in-law, Judy Schreiner; a foster son, Richard Chevalier; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson, Landen; other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Frank, she was preceded in death by a son, Errol Schreiner; four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Thursday, March 16 from 4 p.m. until time of Celebration of Life Services at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marinette.
