Donald J. Rabideau
Donald (Duck) Joseph Rabideau, Sr., 77, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, March 10 at BAMC in Marinette.
Born Oct. 2, 1939 in Menominee, to the late Arthur and Anna (Gayon) Rabideau, he graduated from Menominee High School and received a degree at Northern Michigan University. He married the former Carol Petersen on Jan. 23, 1960 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Menominee. He was self employed most of his life and owned and operated the Auto Clinic in Menominee.
He enjoyed collecting coins, hunting, fishing and in younger days, liked racing stock cars and demolition derby's. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. His family was important to him, especially Friday night card games with his sisters. His door was always open and will continue to be opened to family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Carol; two daughters, Ruth Anne (Scott) Rebman of Pulaski and Sue (Wes) Stripling of Marinette; a son, Donald Rabideau, Jr. of Appleton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Barbara (Francis) Trepanier of Oconto; sisters-in-law, Betty, Marie (Richard) and Lorraine (Victor); a brother-in-law Tom (Pam); other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Marie and three brothers, Arthur, Robert and Ronald.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Burial will be in Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family.
