Coleman Student State Bound for Piano Solo

Coleman"On Saturday, April 1, band and choir students from the Coleman School District attended the annual M&O Conference Solo & Ensemble Festival at Wausaukee High School. Coleman students competed along with musicians from other M&O Conference schools, non-conference schools in the area, and homeschooled students. Musicians from grades 6 through 12 performed for a critique or graded rating in front of state-sanctioned judges in both vocal and instrumental events.
Coleman High School Choir student who received a superior or first place rating in Class B was Dezeraie McMullen. Coleman students getting a first in Class C were Garret Johnson, Trinity Franzen, Kasha Franzen Coral Ermis and Alexis Rudolph.
Coleman Middle School student receiving a superior or first palace rating in Class B was Gabriel Meyer and receiving a second place rating were Natali Vasquez and Holly Galbraith.
Coleman Middle School Choir students receiving superior or first place in Class C were: Mackenzie Truckey and Marixa Vasquez, Blake Watruba and Peyton Lemke, Lexus Baars and Angelina Fendryk, Calli Baenen and Brea Hart, Emily Kostreva and Coral Ermis, and Holly Galbraith and Hannah Soletske. Receiving a first as soloists were: Coral Ermis,Hannah Soletske, Tayler Rosner, and Emily Kostreva and receiving a third place went to Travis Lemke and Brian Soule.
In an earlier competition in Peshtigo in Class A Mackenzie Champagne, Coral Ermis, Isabelle Straub, Amanda Wallenfang, Ashley Wenzel, Gabrielle Meyer and Lea Payette received a second for a Miscellaneous Ensembel and Mackenzie Champagne received a first rating in Class B and Isabelle Straub received a second also in Class B.
Nathan Woulf for piano, received a starred-first place rating in Class A and is eligible for competition at the State level in May. Abigail Marquardt/flute received a second-place rating on her Class A flute solo.
Coleman band students receiving a superior or first place rating in Class B were Andrew Berth/percussion, Meghan Fraser/clarinet, Samantha Giese/flute, Kailey Klimek/alto saxophone, Matthew Kostreva/percussion, Rebekah Lansin/clarinet, Kinlee Prestine/flute, and Jessica Swenty/percussion. Coleman band students receiving a second place rating in Class B were: Emily Cudnohosky/flute, Anna Dohl/trumpet, Rebecca Florencio/flute, Caitlin Huberty/alto saxophone, and Adelyn Salewski/alto saxophone.
In Class C, Corrin Liptak/piano received a first place rating, and Quinnah VanDrisse/flute and Hope Patz/flute received a second-place rating.
The Coleman vocal music teacher is Kathleen Bader and band teacher is Rebecca Shuman.
