Bernice B. Stone
Bernice B. (Galaszewski) Stone, 86, of Mountain, passed away Thursday, April 6.
Born June 11, 1930, to the late Leo and Phyllis (Smigelski) Galaszewski, she married Charles E. Stone in Sept. of 1951. She retired from General Motors of Milwaukee in 1981 and moved to Mountain, where she was active in the community.
A member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lakewood, she enjoyed painting, golfing, bowling, volunteering and time with family.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. (Kristine) Stone; two brothers, Ronald Galaszewski and Jerome (Pat) Galaszewski; two sisters, Phyllis (Florian) Zaharias and Connie (Joe) Stepe; a sister-in-law, Mary Galaszewski; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; two brothers, Richard Galaszewski and Leo Galaszewski; a sister, Louise Peterson and two sisters-in-law, Betty Galaszewski and Genevieve Galaszewski.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 12 at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Lakewood from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Fr. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home of Suring assisted the family with arrangements.
