David W. Cain
David Ward Cain, 78, of Stiles, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 4.
Born Jan. 16, 1939 in Oconto, to Harold and Margaret (Ward) Cain, he attended Oconto Schools before serving in the United States Marines. After service, he married Karen Enders on May 13, 1961.
An aviation fan his whole life, he surrounded himself with many aeronautical artifacts and had a private pilot's license. He was a machinist by trade and found many unique objects to refurbish.
He is survived by two daughters; Teri (Daniel) Saray, Stiles and Nikki (Paul) Goral, New Franken; six grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and DeWayne Little Redding, Ca. and Jean and Dick Olson and Betty Cain, both of Oconto; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Cain, Greeneville, Tn., many other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Leland, and a sister, Carol.
Per his wishes, a private family event was held. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Oconto assisted the family.
