Charles W. Clarke
Charles W. Clarke, 66, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, April 19 at home with family by his side.
Born Feb. 27, 1951, to the late Charles and Joyce (McKnight) Clarke in Columbus, Oh., he served in the United States Army for six and a half years with two years as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star.
On June 7, 1975, he married Sandra Ivey in Ford River, Mi. He enjoyed time with family and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandy; four daughters, Cherie Ureta-Tellez of Phoenix, Az., Sandra Campbell of Bay City, Mi. and Roxanne (Pastor James) Clarke-Burke and Crystal Clarke, both of Menominee; a son, David Clarke of Menominee; many grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol and Janice; two brothers, Leonard and David; nieces; nephews; cousins; other family and friends.
Visitation was held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Monday, April 24 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m., with his son-in-law, Pastor James Burke officiating. Military Honors will be provided and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
