Glen N. Belongia
Glen N. Belongia, 69, of Ashwaubenon, passed away Sunday, April 23 after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 17, 1948 in Van Dyne, to Norman and Leona (Kashava) Belongia,
he graduated from Oconto High School in 1966. On Aug. 24, 1991, he married Renee Delveaux at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. He worked at Red Owl and later for Daanen and Janssen Quarry, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, laughing with people, camping, eating out and hunting, but mostly his family.
He is survived by his wife, Renee; five children, Staci Belongia, Glen N. Belongia, Jr. (special friend, Sheri), Michael O'Brien (Amy), Tory Petrasek and Blake (Melissa) Belongia; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Leona Belongia; two brothers, Roger (Karen) Belongia and Dale (Debbie) Belongia; a sister, Lynnette (Tom) DesJarlais; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
Friends can call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m., with Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his name to benefit the Brown County Humane Society and the Fox Valley Humane Society.
