Karen Marie Baumler, 65, of Escanaba, Mi., passed away, Sunday April 30, in Bark River, Mi. surrounded by her daughters after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 19, 1952, to the late Ferdinand and Rita (Dugre) Baumler, she worked at St. Vincent DePaul.
She enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, karaoke and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a caring, positive, happy go lucky person whose smile could light up any room.
Survivors include three daughters, Katina (Jeremy Felter) Larson of Spalding, Mi., Heide Larson Grondin of Wilson, Mi. and Kristen Mercier of Escanaba, Mi.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Sue (Bill) St. Vincent, Tina (Duane) Dill and Brenda (Jeff) Luft and a brother, Fred (Peggy) Baumler.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Curtis Grondin and two nephews, Chris Baumler and Jeffrey Dill.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. CST until time of a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Oakwood. A memorial fund has been established and any expressions can be directed to Heide Grondin.
