Patricia A. "Pat" (Van Hulle) Ponto, 85, passed away Sunday, April 30.
Born Jan. 31, 1932 on a dairy farm in Oconto, one of seven children, to Leona (Reinhardt) and Louis Van Hulle, she worked at Wisconsin Public Service in Oconto and Kimberly Clark Corp. in Neenah as an Executive Secretary and married Vernon E. Ponto on Jan. 5, 1985. She attended UW-Madison before moving to Neenah.
She supported a family in India and a girl in China, each for 10 years. Her Catholic faith was dear to her and she attended all the religious activities offered and helped her parents in Oconto.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary LaVerne (Omer) Jones of Madison and Phyllis (Tom) Murphy of Appleton; two brothers, Dick (Barb) Van Hulle of Oconto and Glenn (Marcia) Van Hulle of Brooklyn Park, Mn.; her husband's six children, Steve (Mary) Ponto, Pat Ponto, Tom (Sue) Ponto, Polly Ponto, Paula (Tim) Herried and Pam (Shane Luethe) Hren; 10 step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon in 2011; a brother, Norman Van Hulle of Menasha; a sister, Dolores Eparvier of Neenah and a sister-in-law, Janette.
Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah on Thursday, May 4 from 9 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Oconto Catholic Cemetery, 3024 N. River Rd., Oconto. Kessler Funeral Home of Neenah is assisting the family with arrangements.
