THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Edverdina (Ahrens) Polzin , 89, passed away Saturday evening, April 29 at Rennes Health Center-West in Peshtigo where she was a short time resident.
Born Oct. 12, 1927, to the late Otto and Pauline (Krutz) Ahrens, she married Elmer Polzin Nov. 3, 1945 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Grover, where she was a lifelong member.
In earlier years she enjoyed camping with family and most recent, loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer; three children, Karen (Douglas) Schroeder of Crivitz, Carol (Jon) Nedland of Mondovi and Barry (Sue) Polzin of Peshtigo; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Polzin and her sisters and brothers.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 3 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Grover from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Charles Learman officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
