Karen J. Marineau
Karen J. Marineau, 82, of Marinette, passed away Friday, May 5 at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born Nov. 21, 1934 in Marinette, to Kenneth and Ethel ("Ma Bell") Bell, she graduated from Marinette High School in 1952 and married James E. Marineau on April 18, 1953.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated Marineau's Tavern in Marinette until their retirement in 1999. She loved being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed visiting friends. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth Kahn; a son, Scott (Cindy) Marineau; a granddaughter and a grandson, all of Marinette; sisters-in-law, Julie Marineau, Jean Marineau and Doris VanDomelen and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James; a sister and brother-in-law, Gerry and Richard Mathy and brothers-in-law, Richard Marineau, Robert Marineau and Bill VanDomelen.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Wednesday, May 10 from 3 p.m. until 4:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service, with Chaplain Darrel Diers officiating. Inurnment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum.
