Thomas O. Meyer, 76, of Crivitz, passed away Tuesday, May 2 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Born March 28, 1941 in Marinette, to the late Milton and Evelyn (Harley) Meyer, he graduated from Marinette High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. On Dec. 24, 1960, he married Merrie England.
While in the Air Force, they lived in New Haven, Ct. and San Angelo, Tx. and later in Marinette, DePere, Shawano, the Town of Chase and Crivitz. He worked at Fort Howard Paper for 30 years.
An avid reader, he loved golfing and watching sports, but especially enjoyed his grandchildren and the Brewers.
He is survived by two children, Josh Meyer of Ogden, Ut. and Sara (Dan) Henrichs of Lena; three grandchildren and two sisters, Sue Spafford of Vermont and Jane Rohn of Nevada.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Merrie and a son, Tommy.
Friends and family were invited to celebrate his life during visitation hours from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 7 at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
