Wausaukee Town Board Okays Committee Members

At the Wausaukee Town Board meeting on Tuesday, May 9, at 7 PM at the Wausaukee Town Hall, members present were Chairman Jeff Engelmann; Supervisors Bob Jicha, David Tomasino, Kurt Stumbris, and Dennis Taylor, treasurer Sally Hultquist, and clerk Cheryl Stumbris.
Also present were Jack Zore, Bob Wesolowski, Chopper Dunlap, Jack and Penny Pociask, James Pociask, Jim Pickett, Eric Edlebeck, and Dick Scott.
The agenda addition of set date for Board of Review and minutes were approved.
The financial balance as of April 30 was Checking $29,751.38 and MM General Account $ 341,599.27.
Vouchers were paid.
Property owner Peter Gusick requested to purchase strips of land on his property line from the Town of Wausaukee. After discussion the Board agreed not to sell at this time.
Bids were opened for 2006 dump truck. Bids were received from Towns of Beaver, Stephenson and Stiles. Taylor made a motion to accept bid of $56,000 from Stiles which passed.
Engelmann gave an update on new recycling program. Box will be placed on May15 and new program begins on the May 17 with new guidelines. Bob Wesolowski requested no more yard waste as brush and stumps are being dropped off. He also stated that NRC would like to purchase cages that town used for hauling recyclables. Jicha made a motion to sell for $600 ea. with option of lesser amount.
Wesolowski spoke to Rick Rickaby from the Highway Department about Glendale Bridge. A new program will start soon.
The 2017 road construction includes wedge and chip seal Nejedlo Rd starting at Hwy 141 to Perch Lake Rd. The Perch Lake Rd. at Nejedlo Rd, ending at Russ-Mainik Rd. for a total of $214,278.
Committees approved were Fire Department-Bob Flaws/Jeff Engelmann; Recycling-Dave Tomasino/ Kurt Stumbris; Park-Bob Wesolowski/Bob Jicha/ David Tomasino; Dog Catcher-Chopper Dunlap/Jeff Engelmann/ Dennis Taylor; and Judicial-Bob Jicha/Dennis Taylor.
Jim Pickett, Represen-tative Rural Mutual Insurance gave a brief review of Insurance Policy. He will meet with clerk to make any changes.
The contract with Jane Meissner as Building inspector will continue for another 2 year term which is May 15, 2019.
Fire Chief Eric Edlebeck presented treasurer's report and gave update on tanker.
Board of Review is June 17, 2017 from 10 am to noon along with Open Book.
