Betty J. (Coopman) Beschta, 88, of Lena passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.
Born to the late Frank and Matilda Coopman of Oconto Falls, she married Joseph Beschta of Lena on Aug. 27, 1949 at the former St. Charles Catholic Church in Lena. They were an example of faith, love and support to their family.
She enjoyed cards, crossword puzzles and reading, but mostly family get togethers at the farm and spoiling her grandchildren. She instilled a love of reading in them, giving each a book on Christmas.
She is survived by 10 children, Joe (Mary Pat) Oshkosh, Jim (Mary) Oconto Falls, Bill (Kathy), Betty, Bob (Pam), Susie and Karen (Dennis), all of Lena. Kathy (Mike) Green Bay, John (Dianna) Manitowoc and Mary Jane (Paul) Wrightstown; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe and a daughter, Pat.
Visitation was held at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Lena on Sunday, May 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continued at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls on Monday, May 15 from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial was in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Lena.
