THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
GMO Realities Talk at Library
Issue Date: May 31, 2017
The Wausaukee Library, Marinette County Dairy Producers/WMMB, and Marinette County UW-Extension will sponsor an event to better understand GMO's, their usage, environmental impacts, and how to discuss them with others. The event is free of charge and will be held at the Wausaukee Library on Friday, June 9th at 4 p.m. A free cheese sampling event will immediately follow. The conversation is part of the "Civility Speaks' series and allows participants to learn more about a controversial use of technology in agriculture and see how they can discuss difficult topics with others in a constructive manner.
The GMO information will be discussed by UW-Extension Agriculture Agent, Scott Reuss.
The Question and Answer and Discussion portion will be moderated by UW-Extension Community, Natural Resources, and Economic Development Educator Ellen Geisler.
From about 5:30 p.m. until the library closes at 6 p.m., Marinette County Dairy producers and WI Milk Marketing Board invite participants to take part in a cheese sampling event.
For more information, contact Karen at the library 715-856-5995 or Scott Reuss at the Marinette County UW-Extension office, 715-732-7510.
