Coleman Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire
The Coleman Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire Wednesday, June 14 at 2:03 pm. The building was located at 1132 South 11th Road, just outside of Coleman.
Upon arrival firefighters found a home engulfed in flames and conducted a search of the residence to see if anyone was still inside. Firefighters were told everyone was out of the home. Coleman Fire Chief, Tom Behnke called for MABAS assistance from the Pound Fire Department. No injuries were reported. Coleman Rescue Squad was also called to standby. The Marinette County Arson Taskforce was called in to determine a cause. Over 23 firefighters responded to the blaze and they remained on the scene for 3-1/2 hours. According to Chief Behnke, the blaze was accidential.
