Mandatory Sports Meeting for Coleman Athletes
Coleman-The Coleman Athletic Department will host a mandatory sports meeting on Thursday, July 20 at 7 pm in the high school gym for student athletes grades 7-12 and parents/guardians to discuss issues from sports fees, physical or alternate year cards, Bellin Sports services, and the policies of the athletic handbook. It is hoped through a one hour meeting, every parent and athlete that participates on a Coleman athletic team will have all financial obligations taken care of, awareness of what is needed to meet medical expectations and an understanding of the running of the athletic department and the policies set forth.
A main purpose of the meeting is to alleviate some of the paperwork problems of the past. The hope is to have every $20 fee and every physical/alternate year card signed and handed in on the date of the meeting so athlete does not have to miss a day of practice. Athletes may not participate until all their responsibilities are fulfilled.
There will be tables where the $20 per individual/ $50 maximum per family sports fees may be paid, physical and alternate year cards checked or turned in, as well as being able to purchase locks for $5 and season athletic passes. The 2017-18 family pass is $50, a single pass is $25, college student pass $20 and middle/high school students may purchase a season pass for $15.
Every athlete and parent/guardian is expected to attend. If you cannot attend, there will be a video of the meeting available at school, to be viewed at home and paperwork to sign. Athletes will not be allowed to participate, if they cannot attend the meeting, until the video is viewed.
