Douglas H. Charlier
Douglas H. Charlier, 85, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Luther Home in Marinette.
Born Nov. 2, 1931 in Carney, Mi., to the late Marcel and Mary (Draye) Charlier, he worked as a delivery driver and did maintenance at Hot Flame Gas Company for 30 years until retiring. He married Mable Mathias and she preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 1981. In September of 1983, he married Connie Hall in Menominee.
He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson, Mi. and the Local Boiler Makers Union 696. He enjoyed playing baseball on the Strohlers team, bowling, golfing, watching the Packers and Detroit Tigers and watching all sports at Stephenson High School.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; three step-children, Lisa Fadroski, Darren (Mireya) Fadroski and Debi Challe. a grandson; a granddaughter; five sisters, Geraldine Dellmore, Audrey Hultman, Angeline (Lawrence) Lundquist, Elizabeth Tankersley and Marlene Force; five sisters-in-law, Mary Charlier, Barbara Charlier, Shirley Charlier, Sheryl Jones and Susan Garmany; a brother-in-law, Mark (Carrie) Hall and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Friday, July 7. Family and friends can gather from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 5 p.m., with Fr. Ron Timock officiating. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Barb Hope Memorial Fund or the Mid-County Rescue Squad.
