Dorothy Angela (Janick) Bragg, 85, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Wausau, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at home.
Born Feb. 6, 1932 in Wausau, to Frank and Leone (Ahles) Janick, she attended High Falls Grade School and graduated from Crivitz High School. She moved to Calumet City, Ill., where she met her husband James and they were married Sept. 26, 1953 for 58 years.
She spent her early years in northwest Indiana and worked in the banking industry, where she held many positions in Hammond, Ind. and continued her career when they moved to Venice.
The couple were permanent residents of Venice for 25 years, where she was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, held offices on the Council of Catholic Women and the Venice Diocesan C.C.W.
She was well-loved by family, friends and neighbors and was a loving, generous friend who was always there when needed.
Survivors include two sons, Keith of Crown Point, Ind., David (Lori) of Hilliard, Oh., sisters, Ruth Schuette of Wausau and Lois (Paul) Dyer of Crivitz; three grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Bragg on Aug. 18,2011.
Services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice on Monday, June 19 at 11 a.m. Donations can be made to the Diocese of Venice, Seminary Fund. Toale Brothers Funeral Home of Venice, Fla. assisted the family with arrangements.
