Myron L. Baumler
Myron "Mike" L. Baumler, 74, of Daggett, Mi., passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 in Menominee, Mi.
Born Oct. 8, 1942 in Daggett, to the late Atto "Buzzo" Helen (Spaude) Baumler, he graduated from Stephenson High School in 1960 and on May 5 1962, married Karen Kayser at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett.
He worked for 40 years at Marinette Marine as a ship builder and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett and the Local 696 Boiler Makers Union.
He enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, bowling, boating and fishing and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He also volunteered for many years at Roubal's Nursing Home.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen; two daughters, Tracy (Gary) Klatt and Kris (John) Blahnik; a son, Mike (Shelly) Baumler; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Lee) Baumler; three sisters, Colleen (Dale) Kahara, Tammy (Randy) Baumler and Cindy (Jim) Belec; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Boris, Marge (Dick) Drewes and Jeri Culver; two brothers-in-law, Frank (Theresa) Kayser and Terry (Laura) Kayser and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Tom Klatt; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Visitation will be held at Anderson-Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Wednesday, June 5 from 3 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 6 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Daggett from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Micheel and Pastor Paul Cole will officiate with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery Oakwood.
