Norman S. Anderson
Norman S. Anderson, 92, of Green Bay, formerly of Coleman, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Parkview Manor in Green Bay.
Born Aug. 24, 1924, to Edward and Arina (Lange) Anderson, he attended schools in the Coleman area and graduated from Coleman High School in 1941. He farmed in the Coleman area for many years and later worked at Capitol Fixtures and Thompson Boat in Peshtigo, retiring from Thompson Boat in 1987.
He married Fern Galien at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grover on Nov. 5, 1966 and they lived in the Pound/Coleman area all of their married life, before moving to Brookview Meadows Senior Living in Green Bay in October of 2014.
In earlier years, he enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, driving cross-country in their travel trailer and spending part of the winter months in southern California.
Surviving are his wife Fern; two sons, James (Sue) Anderson, Peshtigo and Steve (Sharon) Anderson, Zion Grove, Pa.; two step-sons, Wayne (Pat) Galien, Little Suamico and Kurtis (Karen) Galien, Green Bay; a step-daughter, Ruby (Ronald) Fisher, Green Bay; a daughter-in-law, Nancy M. Anderson, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Nancy C. Anderson, Green Bay; six granddaughters; two great-granddaughters and many nieces; nephews and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Melvin (Hildegard) and Harold (Irene); a son, Gerald and a grandson, Cody.
The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday, July 5 at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Nick Johannes officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Crandon.
