Kurt A. Wentz, 48, of Menominee, Mi., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at home.
Born Sept. 3, 1968, to Richard and Shirley (Boye) Wentz in Menominee, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1987.
He had a good personality, was big hearted, compassionate and cared for his father for many years.
He is survived by his father, Richard Wentz of Menominee; two sisters, Kristine (Larry) Race of Marinette and Gail (Ron) Bruening of Kewaunee; three nephews, Nick (Silvia) Race of Welshbach, Germany, Tyler (Rachael) Race of Marinette and Bryan (Sarah Wendricks) Bruening of Brussels; a niece, Nicole Bruening of Green Bay; a great-nephew, Liam Race; a great-niece, Kaylie Race and many aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wentz; great-nieces, Makenzie and Makayla Geffers; maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Boye and paternal grandparents, Peter and Julia Wentz.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at noon. Mary Arvanites, a close friend of the family will officiate and burial will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
