THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Richard "Dick" Nushart, 79, of Pembine, passed away Friday, July 7 at home with his family by his side.
Born March 28, 1938 in Appleton, to the late Richard and Mabel (Boreson) Nushart, he was raised in Kaukauna and was an ironworker for the Local 8, working mainly for Oscar Boldt Construction. On June 19, 1981, he was united in marriage to his wife, Mary and they purchased the Silver Dollar Bar in Pembine. They owned it for almost 30 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, bowling, four wheeling, was an avid Packer fan and looked forward to each Packer party.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Debra (Richard) Zierler of Menasha, Sherry Nushart of New London, Jeff (Diane) Nushart of Kaukauna and Kelly (Garrett) Geib of Pembine; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim "Butch" (Carol) Nushart of Pembine and a daughter-in-law, Trudy Krueger.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Doug Brem.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday July 12 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral at 5 p.m., with Pastor Jeremy Nausin officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
