Edward P. "Eddie" White, 79, of Suamico, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 9, 2017.
Born April 20, 1938 in Marinette, to Albert and Ruth (Brunette) White, he married Barbara Kozloski at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Suamico on April 8, 1961. He served in the United States Army during the Cuban Conflict.
He was a truck driver for Euclid Trucking and then a commercial fisherman for his family owned and operated White Fisheries from 1974 to 1988.
He enjoyed fishing, working on the cabin, camping and being outside. He had a good sense of humor and loved his animals, mostly his dog, Oscar.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy White, St. Charles, Ill.; a son, John White and his partner, David Niec, Suamico; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; 12 siblings, Marie Smith, Tom LaBlanc, Donna (Ed) Harrison, Sally Harwood, Robert (Mary) LaBlanc, Sandy White (Mac Daniels), Gary (Sandy) White, Linda Slavens (Vickie Smith), Barbara Maloney, Beverly VanLanen, Dwayne White and Kevin White and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and two brothers, Donald White and James LaBlanc.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay on Friday, July 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 15 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Judah Pigon will officiate with burial and military honors in St. Benedict Cemetery.
