THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Barbara "Barb" White, 77, of Suamico, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 9, 2017.
Born Oct. 24, 1939 in Suamico, to Anthony and Angeline (Dombrowski) Kozloski, she married Edward White of Marinette at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Suamico.
On April 8, 1961, she started working at Valentine Fish and Seaway until becoming business operator and filleter for her family owned and operated White Fisheries, retiring in 1998.
She enjoyed taxidermy, knitting, crocheting, macramé, and word searches, but mostly loved her dogs, watching the humming birds and orioles. She was a member of St. Benedict Parish.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy White, St. Charles, Ill.; a son, John White and his partner, David Niec, Suamico; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers and a sister, Art (Sally) Kozlowski, Geri VanLanen, and Ken Kozloski.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; two brothers, Anthony "Pete" and William "Bill" and a sister, Marlene.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay on Friday, July 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, July 15 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Judah Pigon will officiate with burial in St. Benedict Cemetery.
