SC Fire Discusses Aug. 12 Picnic Plans
The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary met on Monday, July 10 at 9 AM at the Town Hall. President Dee Farley called the meeting to order and thank you notes were received for monetary donations to Pastor Fred's and the Christian Food pantries. The majority of the meeting was spent discussing final plans for the 40th annual Silver Cliff Auxiliary Parade and Picnic to be held on Aug. 12. A goal set by the Auxiliary is to raise" $20,000 for the 40th Anniversary".
The Fire Department will do a controlled burn demonstration at the picnic and there will be new games for adults and children. A new Snack Shack item will include deep-fried chocolate chip cookies. The Country Store appreciates donated baked and canned goods, as well as crafts. Items can be brought the morning of the picnic.
The next meeting will be held on Aug. 7 at the Town Park at 9 AM. Members are reminded to wear their Silver Cliff shirts for a group picture. All ladies, living in the Silver Cliff area are invited to attend the meeting and encouraged to join the Auxiliary.
