Mark A. Larson, 61, of Wilson, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July, 11, 2017 at his home of natural causes.
Born March 19, 1956 in Daggett, Mi., to Albert A. and Delores M. (Wandahsega) Larson, he was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from the Indian Community School in 1974 and studied Early Childhood Development at Bay College.
In 1995, he moved to Hannahville and married Anna Uskilith there on May 3, 1997. He worked helping build Sweet Grass Golf Course, in maintenance at the Hannahville School and in daycare, Hannahville housing, the Oasis Store, and most recent, did lawn maintenance for the Hannahville Community. He also worked at Marinette Marine as a pipefitter/laborer.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, pool and watching the Detroit Lions. He was on many local pool and golf leagues, was a member of the Hannahville Culture Committee and enjoyed working Hannahville's Annual Pow-Wow, but mostly loved time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; children, James Bermudez of California, John Larson of Milwaukee, Candice Larson of Marinette and Traci Uskilith (Shannon Wabanimkee), Joshua Larson, Shianne Uskilith, Hannah Larson, Matt (Rachel) Karaja and Ellianna Larson, all of Hannahville; siblings, Nelson (Debbie) Larson of Escanaba; Rhoda Larson, Karen (Michael) Miller, Donna (William) Viers and Doug (Cheryl) Larson, all of Milwaukee and Janet Larson, Albert Larson, and Linda Larson, all of Hannahville;19 grandchildren with one on the way; a great granddaughter; many nieces; nephews; cousins and a special cousin, Robin (Toni) Halfaday and family of Hannahville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Jackson and a step-son, Frank Uskilith.
Visitation was held Friday, July 14 at Hannahville Community Center at 4 p.m. The funeral service was held on Saturday, July 15 at 9 a.m. with burial in the Hannahville Cemetery. Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements.
