Caroline A. (Swanson) Kopatz, 93, of Beaver, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at an area nursing home.
Born Sept. 4, 1923 in Menominee, Mi., to Seth and Etta (Jurgens) Swanson, she married Daniel Kopatz on April 14, 1948 in Oconto and he preceded her in death July 5, 2004. She worked at Coleman Canning Company and many area restaurants as a cook and waitress.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, Harold and Diane Kopatz, Pound, Wayne and Donna Kopatz, Green Bay, Connie Atkins, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Dennis and Paulette Kopatz, Beaver and Mark Kopatz, Pound; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Kopatz, Green Bay; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; a son, Eugene; a daughter, Brenda; two grandchildren, Gary and Scott and a brother, Donald.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, 235 East Main St., Coleman on Thursday, July 20 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon. Burial will follow in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound.
